Travel to Berlin- By Celia Martínez

Cuando vamos de vacaciones, en ocasiones estamos un poco perdidos sobre que debemos visitar cuando viajamos a un país diferente y con un idioma distinto. En este Post os daré mi opinión sobre varios sitios de Berlín que merece la pena visitar.

Berlín es una ciudad enorme e increíble, y si queremos ver todo y tenemos pocos días nos sería imposible abarcar todo ese área, por ello os convendría realizar un plan de aquellos sitios que queréis visitar. Yo he viajado a Berlín este año y os recomiendo distintas zonas que según vuestros gustos podéis conocer:

• Alexanderplatz: Es una gran plaza en el centro de Berlín cerca del río Spree. En ella esta situada la Torre de telecomunicaciones de Berlín, en la que podrás disfrutar de una vista de 360º de la ciudad a 207 metros de altitud. En ella también puedes disfrutar un servicio de bar y restaurante.
• Potsdamer Platz es una importante plaza pública  del centro de Berlín ,en esta tiene lugar el Festival de cine de Berlín , más conocido como la Berlinale.
• Puerta de Brandenburgo: (Brandenburger Tor ) Es uno de los monumentos más destacados y esta cerca de Postdamer Plazt, podeis visitarla sin desviaros de la ruta.
• Monumento al Holocausto, también se encuentra cerca tanto de Postdamer Plazt como de la Puerta de Brandenburgo.
• Friedrichstraße, es una calle comercial del centro de Berlín que podéis aprovechar para ver dado que os quedaría cerca de las anteriores áreas.
• Checkpoint Charlie que es el más famoso de los pasos fronterizos del muro de Berlin y se encuentra en Friedrichstraße.
• Mitte: Es el barrio judío de Berlín es un estupendo lugar para comer algo e ir de compras. A todas las que os guste la moda os encantará esta zona, en los patios de los edificios  encontrareis tiendas y talleres de distintos diseñadores, además de una calle céntrica con todas las grandes firmas.
• O2 World: Es un recinto multi-uso, donde juega el Alba de Berlín y tienen lugar increíbles conciertos. Cerca del mismo podeis encontrar varios sitios para comer a buen precio. Además, hay varios locales para salir de noche un poco difíciles de encontrar. Uno de estos locales es el Watergate, el cual recomiendo a los amantes de la música electrónica, en el podréis disfrutar de buena música y unas inmejorables vistas del río.
• Barrio turco de Kreuzberg donde encontrareis el mercadillo más importante de Berlín.

Evidentemente quedaría mucho por visitar en Berlín, pero si tenéis la oportunidad de estar unos días creo que estos sitios os encantarán.

When we go on holiday, sometimes we are a bit lost, in this post I will give you my opinion  about different places Berlin that you can visit.

Berlin is a big and amazing city, and if we want to see everything and we only have a few days it would be imposible, so you should make a plan for those sites that want to visit. I traveled to Berlin this year and I will recommend you different places:

- Alexanderplatz: It is a  square in the center of Berlin near the Spree river. It is located the Telecommunications Tower Berlin, where you can enjoy a 360 degree view of the city at 207 meters altitude. Here you can also enjoy a bar and restaurant.

- Potsdamer Platz is an important public square in central Berlin, this takes place in the Berlin Film Festival, better known as the Berlinale.

-Brandenburg Gate (Brandenburger Tor) is one of the most prominent monuments and is near by Potsdamer Plazt, you can visit without deviating from route.

-Holocaust Memorial, also situated near by Potsdamer Plazt and the Brandenburg Gate.

-Friedrichstraße is a shopping street in center Berlin that you can visit because It would be near by the referred places.

-Checkpoint Charlie is the most famous border crossing points of the Berlin Wall and is located in Friedrichstraße.

-Mitte: The Jewish quarter of Berlin is a great place to eat something and go shopping. All people who like fashion they will love this place. In the courtyards of the buildings you will find shops and workshops of different designers, and a central street with all the big stores.

-O2 World: A multi-use complex, home of Alba Berlin and it has amazing live concerts.  You can find several places to eat at a good price. There are also several entertainment venues night a little difficult to find. One of these places is the Watergate, which I recommend to fans of electronic music, you can enjoy the great music and the views of the river.

-Turkish neighborhood of Kreuzberg where you will find the most important market of Berlin.
Obviously there are to much places that you would visit in Berlin, but if you have the opportunity to spend a few days I think you will love these sites.
